For makers whose work gets copied · Etsy, Shopify & more

Prove you made it first.

Factories copy your photos. Then Etsy's bots flag you. MakerSentry keeps dated proof of every listing, finds the copies, drafts the takedowns — and builds your appeal when a listing comes down.

How it works

  1. Prove. Every photo is copied into a write-once vault the day it's listed — hashed, timestamped and snapshotted by the Internet Archive.
  2. Prevent. Before you publish, check whether a photo already lives on AliExpress or Temu, and flag wording that reads like dropshipping.
  3. Detect. Weekly reverse-image searches across marketplaces; each candidate is checked by a vision model before it reaches you.
  4. Act. A pre-filled notice for each platform, in its own language, re-checked weekly until the copy is gone.
  5. Recover. If Etsy removes a listing, forward the email and get a timeline, an evidence packet and an appeal letter.

Questions

Will this get my listing reinstated?
Nobody can promise that — Etsy decides. What we can do is make sure your appeal has what reviewers look for: originals with hashes, independent Internet Archive timestamps, a dated timeline, and a letter that answers the specific policy in your notice.
I don't sell on Etsy. Does it work for me?
Yes. Shopify stores import automatically from their public catalog, and Amazon Handmade, eBay or own-website listings can be added by URL. Proof Vault, copy scans, takedown notices and tracking work the same everywhere. Appeals and Deactivation Rescue are built for Etsy's process.
Do you send takedowns for me?
No. Each notice is a draft you read, sign and submit yourself. We fill it in, tell you exactly where it goes, translate it when the platform needs that, and keep checking the link afterwards.
How do you find copies?
Reverse-image search through Google Lens data providers, filtered to marketplaces and shops. Every candidate is then compared to your photo by a vision model, and anything below 70% confidence is thrown out.
What can you do in my Etsy account?
Read listings, photos and their creation dates — that's all. We use Etsy's official API with read-only access and can't change anything in your shop.
What is shared with other sellers?
Only information about the copies: their URLs and an image fingerprint. If the same factory copies five makers, all five get alerted faster. Your shop and listings are never shown to anyone.
Can I delete my data?
Yes, from Settings. Vault originals are kept write-once for two years — that's what makes them credible evidence — and everything else is removed within 30 days.
